Twitter goes to Church

I’ve been at Abundant Life Cathedral Church since June 2006. I started working there right when MySpace was gaining a reputation as the hot new social networking platform. Twitter and Facebook were on the up and up, but had not gained market share. I’ve since then built and continue to build ALC’s network of social profiles. I’ve also built up my own personal brand of profiles. We were recently faced with the question of Twittering in church and if the people of ALC would embrace it. Today I see that Kerry Shook and the tweeps over at FOTW have embraced the power of Twitter. People don’t really like change but sometimes it’s necessary to grow, even in the church!
